That made me laugh, and get a tad teary eyed. MT would be very proud. You big sook.

Now look what you've done! You've gone and made me adore your mother! And I love how thoroughly you see and know her. I would consider myself the luckiest mother in the world if, someday, one of my kids wrote such a clear-eyed and loving tribute to/about me. Lucky you to have such a mother, lucky her to have such a son.

a thousand shades of twilight

Ralphie: I'm glad I can share her with you! I wish you could have met her mother as well, because she was Mum x 10! I am a big sook, but as you well know, I keep it well hid 'neath my hulking macho exterior. So don't tell anyone!
Elizabeth: Thank you my dear!I don't like to go on about my familty too much but I am fiercely one-eyed about all of them. Of course, sometimes my parents bring out the worst in me and I revert to a snappy thirteen year old in their presence, but they take it all in their stride.I do feel very lucky and don't take it for granted.
I am sure you have many many clear eyed and loving tributes coming your way over the years. I would not be at all surprised if your kids have inherited an ability to express themselves with love and clarity. Happy Mother's Day to you! Your kids are extremely lucky to have such a wonderful mum!
