Such silly geese we were. So full of energy and beauty and not knowing it, and pointing it in all the wrong directions. I'm so glad those days are over, and i think that maybe, with more limited time and energy, comes a need to focus it better. Well, some days anyway!

Nicely put, Elizabeth! It amuses me to think back on the sighs, dramas, and navel gazing. And to think how differently my life turned out to what I was dreaming back then. And I don't say that with any bitterness. In fact I'm relieved and delighted that life has surprised me in the way it has!


How true it is that youth is wasted on the young. I never did the afternoon nap thing though, that's new to me.

Jacanegra: Yes! People used to tell me that youth was wasted on the young when I was young, but it never really made sense until I got older! There's just no telling youth...
