This will be the only version I will be able to remember now! Who will you tackle next?

Oooh! You could do a series called "The Parade parade of History." Then we'd all remember our history lessons much better:
Cardinal R. = Somber, bloated, power-mad fellow.
Louis XIII - "vain & hairbrained fellow who liked peeling vegetables, playing w/ toy soldiers, courtiers, not his wife.
And finally, wise advice to pass on to my kids: "Once a Medici, always a Medici!"

Jacanegra: Hi! Thanks for your comment! Oooh, I hope I haven't distorted your view of history too much...For the record, it must be said that my account is doubly unreliable. Firstly, Parade Magazine is marked by its lack of scholarship and objectivity and should be taken with a grain of salt. Secondly, EVERYTHING I say should be taken with a VAT of salt!! :)As to my next victim, any suggestions? I'm happy to take requests...

Elizabeth: Ha! I love the idea of The Parade parade of History! I may have to rename the series! I'm also glad that you gleaned some useful information. If only history had been taught as if it were a gossip column when I was at school - I would have retained a lot more...sigh.
