Tommy Dorsey - I'm gettin' sentimental over you 78 rpm
"Never thought I'd fall, but now I hear love's call,
I'm getting sentimental over you.
Things you say and do just thrill me through and through,
I'm getting sentimental over you.
I thought I was happy I could live without love,
Now I must admit, love is all I'm thinking of...
`Cause I'm getting sentimental over you."
(lyrics by Ned Washington)
Dedicated to my beautiful man on the eve of our anniversary: my dear patient "M", my Bloomfield and my George, my dextrous little Ralphie-boy, thanks for two lovely years, my dear, and, at the risk of sounding like a supreme corn-cob, for changing my life. Night and Day, you are the one...
PS M, I hope you like the song choice: It was a toss-up between this and a certain Aussie "hit" from the 80s..
Thank you S for your lovely dedication. I can't believe how lucky I am to have met you; you have brought a lot of joy to my life. Here's to another year of our special kind of fun...
And thank you for insinuating that abominable song Bop Girl into my head. Again.

The pleasure is all mine. PS I hope the infernal Ms Wilson is now dislodged. My sincerest apologies..

May I just say how lovely! Happy, happy to both of you, and many more happies to come.

:) Thanks so much, Elizabeth!! Let me wish a whole bunch of happies to you and your family too! I know I've been even more sooky and self-indulgent than usual this week, but it was a long journey for me and "M" to find each other (I know I thought I was edging closer and closer to confirmed bachelor status for the rest of my life!),so I think it's worth shouting and singing about for a little while!
